Our first theatre !!

IN A PICKLE - AN OILY CART / ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY !!

I had always wanted to go to the theatre , watch a drama ,a Shakespeare one possibly. 4 years in the UK and with  a famous theatre just 15 mins. away, It's still a dream. So when one of my friends told me about a play in the Mold theatre for Hanah,I said why not ! I was a bit skeptic about spending £20 on a play for me and Hanah when there is a high chance that i might be walking out, 10 mins. into the play, with Hanah screaming and yelling that it was boring and she wants a popcorn and some icecream or a pepsi. Thanks to my experienced friend and a mother of 2 girls' persuasion i booked 2 tickets in november for Hanah and me to watch - In a Pickle at the Mold theatre at the end of January.. it was a long wait and we had been to India and back over the Christmas break and it had snowed and rained here in the UK and blessed us with a wonderful winter sometimes looking like a winter wonderland.. Inside a magical glass ball ..or like Narnia to be precise..Now about the show.. I wouldn't kill the fun for those who haven't seen it.. but I must confess that it was the best £20 that I have ever spent in my life.Amazing experience. It was not just sitting in a seat and watching a bunch of people dance, sing and talk loudly in a distance under strange lighting.. not at all.. it was constantly engaging and the kids were kept busy in various activities all through the play.. engaging all the 5 senses through out the play.. and it had a balance of activities and the drama experience with a beautiful story to tell with a powerful performance put together by the entire crew.. it was as if, people performing all around you and you were allowed to walk and play in their world , still not loosing the main purpose of a drama , the story telling.Amazing, here's 3 cheers to the art of story telling in it's various forms and to one of many dramas that I am hoping to watch with my loved ones :)
